Tim has been a part of Angel Flight West for over a year where he volunteers to provide air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions and other compelling needs.
With a network of 1,600 pilots throughout the 13 western states, they donate their aircraft, piloting skills, and all flying costs to help families in need, enabling them to receive vital treatment that might otherwise be inaccessible because of financial, medical, or geographic limitations.
In the last month, Tim has had the privilege of flying 3 patients to their care in Northern California.
On August 11th, Tim met Giovanni and his mom. Giovanni needed to be brought from Oakland back to his home in Bakersfield after receiving treatment at UCSF. It was the first time Tim had to stuff a wheelchair into his airplane. It was a little tight but they got it done.
On August 18th, Tim flew two brothers with their mother, May, from Visalia to Oakland. Deeb (age 16, in wheelchair) and brother Zaid (age 12) are missing the outer skin layer over their body and receive treatment at UCSF and Stanford on a regular basis.
Tim is honored to be a part of Angel Flight West and give his time to help these patients on their journey towards health and recovery.
