As a business in Sonoma County, JDH Wealth has the unique opportunity to partner with Sonoma State University’s School of Business and Economics (SBE) Mentor Program. Tim Delaney, Managing Partner at JDH Wealth, is now in the midst of his second semester as a mentor.
Each semester students apply to the SBE Mentor Program and go through a thorough selection process. About 25 students are then paired with a professional mentor in their field of interest to learn more about the profession, company, and industry.
This semester Tim is working with Mitch, a Finance major at SSU in his junior year.
Through the mentoring program, Mitch has been able to see the inner workings of the wealth management industry and how we work with our clients. With client approval he has joined Tim in various client meetings and learned about different aspects of what it looks like to be a wealth manager.
Tim also has the opportunity to share about the culture of JDH and the importance of our mission and values in our dealings with clients, staff, and the community:
Mission: Building trust, guiding investment behavior, and educating our clients is the essence of what we do.
Values: Trust | Support | Fun
When Mitch completes his time as a mentee, at the end of the semester he will experience what Tim considers ultimate fun – a ride in Tim’s Cirrus plane!
